Nice idea. They should probably stay visible when an additional constraint is associated with it, which seems to be quite some effort for not too much gain.

Thickness is picky. It doesn't like very sharp angles nor angles near but not quite tangency. Make everything tangent, and it works:

Or why not just use construction lines and leave the rest up to the users themselves? It would be a similar situation as we have now. It still needs the function to restore the internal geometry.
