Offsetting edges does that. It's normal. If you offset a polyline in another CAD program, you will probably notice the same thing.cprhodin wrote: Why is it generating a G2 to go around the corners?

Re: How to get a path for a pocket?
For the time being, you will have to enter the final depth by hand in the pocket properties. We will fix most of pocketing sometime and make it so that there are some assumptions made based on selection. Sorry that we aren't there yet.

Re: StackExchange site for FreeCAD - proposal
I have become very fond of the FreeCAD forum. But sometimes when reading a excellent question and/or a fantastic answer here on the forum, I feel quite sad. The reason is that this real good information soon is going to drown in other good information. I think having the possibility to star questio...

Re: Adaptable Post processor for Maho
This is a great place for discussing this. Let's keep the discussion going. I would be happy to add your post to the workbench. You could copy/paste it here in the forum or place it on a place like pastebin.com and I can grab it from there too. If you feel comfortable using github, that's great too....

Re: Path module merged in master!
I tried to generate the pocket tool paths, but I can not generate any yet. Does anyone have a simple part, and steps to generate the pocket tool paths. I tried to follow what Dan described, but I can not get the selection working. Thanks. Hi cutenc, For the pocket operation, just select the face of...

Re: libarea, used in Path Workbench
Yorik just merged in the version of libarea that I included in Path workbench. So, now there is no need to pull libarea from outside sources. Thanks Yorik!

Re: Export for CNC Milling - Newbie 1 oh 1
You're going to have to give us a bit more info on how you are actually generating the G-code that Mach is using. I've been working on a CAM workbench called Path for FreeCAD and we aren't very far yet. We certainly don't have any 4th axis CAM modules for it yet. Describe your process of getting cod...
