Re: New-old macro 'Wise1"
I suppose efficiency is a relative term. I know that clicking the sketch icon, clicking the plane, then clicking OK is a waste of my time, over and over I do it.... Then when I'm done I need to select a feature, then go and select a Map mode, another 4 or 5 mouse clicks. I do all this in 2 or 3 mous...

Workbench, how to handle toolbar positions?
I have my workbench class and and in it I have functions to build a widget and toolbars. I understand that every time I enter my workbench the Init will fire so I can do things on entry. My question has two parts 1) Do I need to rebuild my toolbars every time I enter my workbench 2) how do I control...

Re: Offset on Surface
I get a full page of geometry errors on the tank.
I could do a lot to show different approaches but not those errors.
Edit: The OP really didn't even say what they wanted. Bigger, taller, curved. Offset in what?

Re: Panel arrangement, overlay system? frustration in 0.22
I agree, it would take a couple hundred words to describe the events. Maybe the next person that works on this can explore creating a save function on the panels. I use dual monitors. I got stuck a couple times using the dev. version and found that if I opened 0.21 I could get back to a normal scree...

Re: Direct modeling now in low cost CAD
obelisk79 There's no need to think of this in terms of absolutes. I see most decisions made for FreeCAD Master to lean to the professional, I don't think there will be much interest. I could be wrong. One of the most important things to me using CAD is that I can forget what I did during my 8 hours...

Re: Direct modeling now in low cost CAD
IMO, direct modeling for CAD doesn't make since, it's fine for graphic editing programs but not CAD. The goal of CAD is to associate the solids to drawings and the designer is responsible to keep those two things in lock-step. You can waste money and time not mention your job and reputation if the w...

Re: pocket (or hole) not working on additive loft
I see that you changed the support plane to be XZ as opposed to the face of the object. I see now One thing I noticed about Loft is just because the sketch edges are straight between sketches doesn't mean Loft will create planar faces. So on the Holder, you can sketch on that flat face and create a...

Re: Releasing new macro "ReModel".
Updating the macro to version 1-2. The macro will be in the first post. I focused a bunch on the use of active body. I have a process that removes most of the requirements of having to keep track of the active body which I find to be annoying and time consuming. My logic: if you click an object and ...

Re: Fillet at the base of a curved pipe
I'm not sure from the post what the final goal was but you can use a Loft to create the fillet. You can split the base circle fillet Sketch and make the fillet curve around shapes if desired.
