Re: When working with 2 documents, unexpected switch from one to the other

It's 100% reproducible for me. I changed my locale with LC_ALL=C so that it shows as yours, but it still works excellent here. chennes , you are on a mac too with probably a complete English setup like Ed. Can you reproduce? Although the Realthunder approach seems more like a workaround than fixing...

Re: weird shading when assembly rotated

This is the so called z-fighting: Sound-Panel-SW-Inside and Drywall-SW share the same surface and due to rounding issues in the representation sometimes one of them and sometimes the other is on top. If you had to build this in the real world, you could simply delete the latter of the two, because i...

Re: Exasperated

Moaning about TNP. 21.2 on Windows. You obviously know the TNP abbreviation, from which I conclude that you have read about it, and you know that it is currently not avoidable when using generated geometry. So you sure are not surprised, are you? The next stable version will mitigate the TNP issues.

Yes, I can, but there are sensible replies, which others having the same problem may find useful.

Re: Feature request - Sketch creation

As drmacro said, the right way to handle the creation is to provide the full attachment dialog. Being able to immediately insert an expression would avoid having the Sketch hidden by the solid that is being developed. If that is your concern, then you should use Sketcher ViewSection . It can also be...

Re: Path experimental on 0.21.2 fails: camotics `GLIBC_2.33' not found

I see there is new one available: FreeCAD_weekly-builds-36807-2024-04-08-conda-Linux-x86_64-py311.AppImage The commit was 2 weeks ago, so it should be contained in that version. can I upgrade, or is it better to do a complete download? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the AppImage update process. (I wi...

Re: Help making object solid

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Your file contains only a mesh, and even that seems to be empty. A mesh is always hollow. You have to convert it to a shape and then to a solid. There are hundreds of topics here about that.

I was afraid of that, but I saw a little chance.

In case it is affected by the config, I'm sure you have reset it. Did you also try using Software OpenGL? It also shouldn't affect this behaviour, but who knows? Apple said to restrict the OpenGL support.

Re: Trying to align 3 point symmetrically

There is an easier way to add such symmetry, which avoids the wrong selection sequence: select the line at the bottom plus the origin and apply the constraint. This doesn't avoid the redundancy. You may want to have a look into the (outdated) document in my footer.
