Re: Testing Help Request - Cosmetics

First the leader line. changes (that i get): option to rotate with the view default: false --> should be true (i ever saw such an option in CAD, when, then a rotation degree as the views and they automatic rotates with it, the advantage of it, you can always rotate it), but i am with the behavior of...

This is how i handle it, i use the Draft arrays very extensive. Any assembly without an array tool is hard to position and very hard to maintain.

chrisb wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:45 pm Would it be sensible to remove the Torus from the Part toolbar?
Why not just rework the toolbar, it is anyway a mess. Just said, a torus is very common primitive for e.g. o-rings. For me i just use PartDesign WB one, but i can not guess, if others use just the Part WB one.

Re: Part WB/Split/Slice Apart, is not working as expected? Another tool to use instead?

I don't understand why single slice doesn't works properly. It works properly, but there is a self intersection. See in the screenshot, the all faces goes through other faces. There is no boundaries inbetween. The face in the screenshot should be 3 sectional faces, here it is only one. 2024-04-18_2...

To be honest, i workaround many things, because the leaderline and cosmetics system (the term cosmetic is in a technical drawing wrong, auxiliary would be more suitable) does not really work for me. A change and you can almost start from scratch.

Re: Change backgroundcolor of TreeView

I had an other request (or question, if it its possible) to add branches on the tree view without stylesheets (also because the stylesheets rarely work complete) a while ago. Seems that no one cares. See viewtopic.php?t=86663.

Re: FreeCAD build requires gtest (googletest), but the build system does not check for it

In theory yes it does, these tests are supposed to be platform independent and therefore shouldn't give a different result unless you change something in the code. It is not the tests purpose to test on many platforms to get many OS depended (and libs or even hardware depended) behaviors? Else this...

That running a test have nothing to do to be a developer, users can run test either. Also some packages of the OS change some non conform things (e.g. DFSG on Debian).

Till today i found no issue so far, except that you can make any further views with that. E.g Sections or Detail vies. But i guess it is known.
