Re: Part Thickness Study - Observation about Calculability (using Part Loft)
As I'm using almost exclusively scripting to model with FC, probably I'm biased as many problems are "naturally" solved with some maths when creating models, GUI approach is different, and I haven't been able to learn properly the GUI part, or maybe I've not spent my energies on learning ...

But I could not imagine a CAD without mathematical formulas behind, how do you define a circle if not using: x = r cos(t) y = r sin(t) Not speaking of BSPlines and Bezier curves, or other more complex things. There is a difference between being a mathematician and being an engineer. that the circle...

Re: Inserting operation in the middle of the tree?
If you have Initiate dragging on than you can hold and move the objects around(a pity is that it is sometimes unclear where the moving object is placed - a simple line can help a lot). I noticed that at least in some cases objects can be moved out another object. But i didn't test the exact reason f...

Re: Manage larger projects?
To be honest i have zero experience in boat design. I have worked with cars including using (parts of) the master shape. So it can be that somebody that has worked with boat design correct me... What i should do is creating a (set of )master shape(s). Probably you create the outer surface of the hul...

MS can assign work to some developer and he will do for the money he gets. We can also assign work to developers. And they will do it or they will not. Or they will do something else. Should we forbid workiing on other things than the top ten? Sure not, ... This is bassically the short version what...

Re: "Constraint Body Heat Source" implemented yet?
You cannot "just do" an analysis. You first need to learn the workflow. The 3 different solvers we support have each a very different work flow. This is exactly what my point( and maybe also problem) is. The two type users that start using FEM: - The first group are users that (almost )ne...

Re: "Constraint Body Heat Source" implemented yet?
I don't agree that we need special handling for constraints that are not available for all solvers. We have meanwhile proper Wiki pages describing the constraints. FEM requires some reading how it works. I don't complete agree on this. In general i think the tools should help the user as much as po...
