Would you mind sharing the list? While there are some problems with chamfers and fillets, most trouble with chamfers come from the topological naming problem.

I don't understand these "noses" you have. Without them you could make the pad longer ("thicker") then fillet all edges and finally cut top and bottom off so that you have sharp edges again.
This would even be toponaming safe.
