Re: Functional 3d printed headphones "Aculeata"

These look really cool! The design of the ear-pieces give me an aquatic vibe, or remind me of seashells or a conch shell for some reason. What was your design inspiration? Thank you! You are right on the mark both with the sea theme and seashells. This design is actually derived from an design we m...

Functional 3d printed headphones "Aculeata"

Made these headphones together with jewellery designer Marianna Brilliantova . They are functional, although I guess one might consider it more of a style item in terms of design and size :D But that's the fun thing anyway, to make something one cannot mass produced! Apart from drivers, cable, and M...

One-click project export

Exports all files in document which has names like `mypart [dxf]` or `thing [stl, step]` to individual files in a export directory. Default prefix: 'export/$project-' Can be ran both as a macro from the FreeCAD UI and as a script on commandline. This allows treating the FreeCAD file as a single-sourc...

Re: FreeCAD: Scale image to reference

Indeed, it looks basically exactly the same as in the Image Scaling Thread. I wrote this back in Feb 2015, and the time I could not find anything else that did what I needed. Just got around to publishing it now, and forgot to check again if it existed now as a macro... Oh well, at least its out the...

Scale image to reference

This macro allows to set the physical size of an image in FreeCAD by specifying distance between two points in the image. This is very practical in order to use images as reference, which greatly simplifies making something that fits with or is based on a more organic shape. https://github.com/jonno...

Re: NiCr: CNC Hot Wire Cutter

Very nice! CoreXY makes a lot of sense for this usecase.

Bobbin holder & box for sewing things [lasercut]

Made this for my mother for Christmas :) Also had engraving on inside of lid. https://github.com/jonnor/projects/raw/master/clothing/img/bobbinholder.jpg Glue&screw-free construction of the lid. Did not have time to do that for box unfortunately. FreeCAD files on the project page and Thingiverse...

Re: Path Project Digest

In addition to what is mentioned in first post, there also seems to be a Shopbot / OpenSBP post-processor in git.Have not tested it yet, though it is on my list. And for a Centroid CNC mill, and LinucCNC (both gcode-derivatives).
