To transfer the holes think about using shapebinders.

Make the sketch a 1/2 inch above the XY plane, then use the hole feature followed by a pattern.....

Just make the revolve a subtractive one (groove) and then pattern as usual.

You're talking about handles for the knife?
Consider using shapebinders to bring the geometry into a new body, and then a clone for the mirror image.

Better to create feature first then mirror it, rather than mirrroring the sketch.
