Hello chrisb, sorry for the video. It looks like this is just googledrive. If you download the video, the resolution is very good. And the downloaded file is only 6.2MB large. How can I get the latest version via brew? I don't know if it is necessary, I just experienced this bug with all this things...

Re: [Arch] starting point for modeling the first floorplan
Yes, that was the problem, but I thought if they should be on the same position it would work, but no, you're right. Also if I adjust the window depth to 500mm instead of 0 the hole is gone.

Re: [Arch] starting point for modeling the first floorplan
I now played a bit more with the Arch/BIM WB, but I have a few questions: 1. Should I use the BIM or Arch WB? 2. How can I place doors/windows very precisly at a specific relative position to room edges and also directly on the wall instead of before the wall? 3. How do I structure walls buildings, ...

Re: [Arch] starting point for modeling the first floorplan
Hello, thank you for your replies, I really appreciate that volunteering work around FreeCAD. Yes, im using the latest 0.20 (downloaded two weeks ago). I think I put a wrong use case thought to freecad and 3D modeling a house. FreeCAD Arch is meant to create your house in 3D, not to create 2D floor ...

Re: [Arch] starting point for modeling the first floorplan
Thank you for your input.
As more as I read/watch about that topic, I think freeCAD has huge limitations for arch by design.
- I cannot draw a 2d floor plan and attach walls to it
- if I place a door and remove it I have an unexplainable hole in my walls
