There is a whole set of new SheetMetal icons, but their names don't match with the function names that are displayed at the bottom of the tool tips. Is this a sign that the function names will change soon? Then the wiki pages have to be renamed. Or should the icons keep the names of the old icons? ...

Previous problem is fixed. I made some tests to change the welcome message. That logo is 12 lines-height, somewhat big, we could also join the text in the side but some fonst are big.
I attached a text file with a LOT of FreeCAD ASCII art text styles, some fits better/are more legible.

Mmm I'm not sure what's happening (we have same dependecies versions), could someone else try to compile FreeCAD from source and tell if it works or not and openmpi version.
