Re: When do horizrapid and vertrapid get used?

nmw01223 Doesn't directly answer your question, but if you also select "chip break" in the drilling dialog then it shouldn't retract to safe height between each peck. This assumes your your grbl variant supports G73 instead of G83 - I believe grblHAL does (setting $28 to control retract d...

Re: Shop Floor Instructions

Syres That was quick, thanks! Think I have spotted an issue though.. At line 1211, base_name has the extension split off, but not the path. In my case, my job output filename is /home/jone/Data/G-Code/%d.gcode , and the Sanity script attempts to write to (for instance) /home/jone/Data/G-Code//home/...

Re: Feeds and speeds addon not showing in the menu

It's just me or you people also have this issue? I hadn't noticed before, but the addon menu entry was also missing for me when running the latest 0.22 weekly AppImage. So I started an old 0.20.2 AppImage to test - and it appeared as expected. After doing that, it now appears as expected in the wee...

Re: Shop Floor Instructions

Syres For info - I just grabbed the latest weekly AppImage to test.. Looks good, only issue for me is that the generated html file name doesn't seem to honour substitutions in the gcode output path - possibly never has? Am just using a %d substitution for the filename, but the html file (which was ...

So when might it appear in a weekly build?
I believe there is a feature freeze until v0.21 is released..

Re: Profile Operation (Path workbench) only does outside, not inside of shape

Is there a macro or function to (for instance) automatically select all vertical faces on an object? See the 'Path -> Finish selecting loop' menu item that herbk mentioned in previous post. You can just select a couple of the faces on your inside profile, and then use that to auto-select the rest.

Re: text editor for g-code files ?

the inspect window is not movable. That surprises me, I can move it here on macOS. What I would like to see ist the possibility to rotate and zoom 3D view while inspect is open. Possibly using Linux/Gnome? I think the current default is that modal dialogs can not be moved.. If so, can be turned off...

Re: inconsistent pockets

I don't see anyway to cut this surface with FreeCAD. I need to take light cut because it's steel and the machine is not that rigid to work with hard materials. Anyone have any suggestions? I use adaptive quite a lot, as my router is definitely not rigid. That should work for your case? (Just tried ...
