My pleasure. I know how useful proper bug reports are ;)

[snap][0.22] Missing libyaml-cpp

On a fresh install of FreeCAD, installed as a Snap package, trying to open any workbench results in this error message and the workbench doesn't work. Screenshot_2024-04-09_17-09-55.png Seems like libyaml-cpp.so.0.7 was not picked up by the packaging script. Running from terminal provides this outpu...

[bug] If default section cut is set to PAT hatch, sections start with no hatch

If you set your preferences to PAT Hatch, and then do a section, the cut surfaces will get no hatch initially. If you change "Cut Surface Display" to anything else, and then return to "PatHatch" after creation, or if you save and reload the file, hatch appears correctly. missingH...

[Feature Request] Section improvement idea: add start and end planes

For both simple and complex sections, it would be nice to add two additional optional parameters: a start plane and and end plane. The section would be done only for whatever parts of the object that lie between those planes. On simple sections, this would allow, for example, to section only a part ...

Re: Is it possible to move the section line arrows

In v0.22 there is a section line stretch property that will make the line longer or shorter. It's probably me (my brain is fried with trying to wrap stuff before the year ends) but I can't see it, though maybe it's not yet in the 0.22 snap build. Still, thanks for adding it sectionLine.png OS: Ubun...

Is it possible to move the section line arrows

When creating a regular section view, (not a complex section, I haven't tried it there, just a simple section where you set up the section view direction and location through the standard dialog), sometimes the section view arrows and markers are placed too close or too far to the base view, and int...

[REGRESSION][BUG] Dimensions lose their positions

I opened up one of my old files with v0.22 and when viewing the TechDraw pages, all dimensions were stacked in the middle of their views. This was not the dimensions losing their references, as they where all connected to the right features of the drawing, but instead they lost their positions and t...

Thanks Edi. I will test it next week.

Maybe consider adding it to TechDrawTools/ExtensionTools? I feel it could be an important tool in the future

Re: Drawing arbitrary cosmetic lines in a controllable fashion

The vertex inserted with the TD "Insert Cosmetic Vertex" function and positioned via "X" and "Y" coordinates refers to the 1:1 scale of the model, so to calculate you must use the real scale of the model, this, regardless of the scale of the view. If you change the sca...

Re: Drawing arbitrary cosmetic lines in a controllable fashion

The creation of a vertex using the TD "Insert Cosmetic Vertex" function has the possibility of inserting, through the placement form using the X, Y coordinates, a vertex with very high precision, if you leave the values X=0; Y=0 the vertex will be placed exactly at the center of the view,...
