Re: No module named 'ifcopenshell'

I guess this was possible in earlier builds of AppImage, maybe changed now.
Have setup a miniconda env and installed the latest freecad pre-build and also ifcopenshell. Works now.

No module named 'ifcopenshell'

Hi, Isn't IfcOpenShell already included in conda AppImage version for linux. I am getting the following error import ifcopenshell Traceback (most recent call last): File "<input>", line 1, in <module> File "/tmp/.mount_FreeCAz6om9M/usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/shiboken2/files.dir/...

BIM Layer export to dxf

The BIM Layers wiki says that Layers are exported to dxf. I couldnt get this in my export from Techdraw or direct File->Export. Anybody on how this is done.

Roy_043 wrote: Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:44 pm Thanks for your explanation. I think I understand on a theoretical level, but would there be a FaceBinder example where this would have a visible effect?

How to replace objects in recorded macro with variables

Hi, I am new to coding. I was trying to automate a few repetitive commands using macro. I tried this by recording a new macro. But I guess the object name should be a variable or so that should be selectable inorder for the macro to execute on a new object. Any recommendation on how this could be do...

Re: FreeCAD Applink file - very slow to work on

Hi arnn, The TechDraw pages need to be set for manual updates. Right Click over each page and toggle Keep Updated to off. Save your file and speeds return to normal. There is something going on in Page 004 which slows things down. I'd look very closely at the view. TechDraw pages being automaticall...

Re: FCStd too slow to load

how did you adjust the triangulation The simple method is to use Edit >> Preferences >> Part Design >> Shape View Capture.PNG I am using the smallest allowed deviation, but that is slow in some cases. I like the smoother view, so that is what I use in most cases. Gene thank you
