Sketcher_restoreInternal tool discussion

Hi there, Sketcher has a tool called 'restore internal alignment' which deletes/recreate internal alignment of ellipse/aoe/.../bspline. I remember that at several instances abdullah mentioned that this tool was going to be removed. If I recall his plan correctly, I think he wanted to make internal a...

Re: Change coloring of a standard icon?

Sketcher is doing this in the Geometry Taskbox. The list that displays the geometries. The icon' colors are being changed programatically. So your answer is there I guess.

And if, as said, you seems not work with CAD or FreeCAD at all, else you would not come often weird conclusion You keep trying to discredit me. Saying that my understanding of CAD gui is wrong. Well let's take an example : Sketcher_dimension, you have been vehemently against it. Saying the same: th...

Re: Merge lattice WB as a tool in PD

I think in Piero's initial post, he does not ask to merge lattice as it is but rather what you are suggesting @user1234, improve pattern tools so that the functionalities covered by lattice are found in core

Re: Merging Fasteners and Gears in Part wb?

No, JUST NO. Stop with the willy-nilly "let's merge this workbench with that workbench". Gears are NOT fasteners. Fasteners aren't gears. Who said Gears are fasteners and fasteners are gears? I say gears are parts. Fasteners are parts. The primitive toolbar is basically a 'part toolbar'. ...

Merging Fasteners and Gears in Part wb?

Thoughts on merging fasteners and gears in core Part Wb as single tools, each with its own taskbox letting you select the type and configure it?

Re: Merge lattice WB as a tool in PD

While I do not know lattice wb and only had a quick look : - Merging lattice as it is not a good idea. But: - From what Piero69 says, I seem to understand that the core idea of lattice is to make complex patterns. And perhaps it could indeed fit in one well tought through tool/taskbox. In which case...

Re: Workbenches and tools

Sheet metal is better as a standa alone workbench. But Fasteners would be imo better as a part of assembly. Just one tool similar to what A4 is offering but with a proper taskbox would be enough.
