Re: Using Yorik's SweetHome3D importer
Nice! I'll notate 2584 Thanks! Can we use git to track/merge your changes so far? If you mean my changes, I didn't do anything to any code, just messing around in FreeCAD as you can see in the tree view in the screenshots. So this was more some notes if someone else is on it sooner or later. Trying...

Re: UI Improvements / Vertical UI Proposition
I have 2 thoughts that seems feasible to share in this thread as being related to tooltips. I really like the function in Blender that enables you to get python command for a function by hovering over a button and press ctrl+c, not sure how easy it would be to implement though and if there are other...

Re: Using Yorik's SweetHome3D importer
Made some more observations, After messing around a bit in the document tree, I got some sub shapes of doors and windows visible in almost the right position: sh3d import fc1.png But it seems like all objects are anchored to the "ground plane": sh3d import fc2.png Also some of the wall lin...

Re: Using Yorik's SweetHome3D importer
Just wanted to report that I tried the export/import procedure from sh3d to freecad and experienced some problems. Most things seems to have been mirrored, and the wall, door and window elements are not placed correctly. The shades seems to not have been mirrored. Screenshot from sh3d before export:...

Re: Helping to review pull requests
could you please add me to the reviewers group, my github alias is klasrocket Yorik is out-of-the-office for the next week or so. Try pinging him next week. In the meantime you could add your feedback to the PRs directly or their associated forum threads (this is recommended). Ok, thx for your upda...

Re: Helping to review pull requests
It seems, contrarily of my first post, that not just anyone is allowed to make a review.. One has to be in a group on the github project. I'll create a "reviewers" group. If you want to help making reviews and are unable to do so on github, send me your github username and I'll add you. c...

Re: Long part cut out section/break line
thx! the workaround in the video will do the job for now even if I guess it wont be possible to keep it up to date with the original model.edi wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 5:15 pm @laschrocket: find a youtube film tutorial from @mhalil in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 9&start=10

Long part cut out section/break line
Hi. I got a part that is quite long which I want to put into a drawing but would prefer to cut out the midsection, where no important is taking place, but don't find any tools for that in TechDraw or any discussion in the forums about it. My idea was to end up with something like this; http://www.ja...

Re: Feature freeze for 0.19
I'm not into the FreeCAD development.. yet, so my vote, on freeze at 22 March as a really good option, should be considered feather light. But I guess I should dig straight in to the Swedish translation, where I guess I at least can do some good the coming weeks.

Re: export assembly to SVG part by part in TechDraw
Thanks for the reply, fixed the link, my bad.
I've tried the viewPartAsSvg but only gets all parts in the view plotted into the svg, but I guess I need to mess around with it a bit more to get it right.
