Re: Having trouble using RENDER WB with Blender

Hmm...no idea what the problem might be.

I have had way better luck using Sverchok nodes in Blender to just read the FreeCAD file directly and then use Blender...

Re: Fusion360 has hiked its prices once again. Brace yourselves, CADfugees are coming

... Is your start up config available as a preference pack? Is there anyone/group attempting to make preference packs available? Or anyone/group addressing the startup/fresh install logistics? (for example, the talk of having a first run user setup process is talked about a lot. I suspect it is see...

Re: Which issues will start to arrive with the splitting of complexity?

Okay. So now that everyone has gone back to their senses, I want to ask the question again: And now the question: Which issues will start to arrive? What am I missing? With that question I mean: What can go wrong if this feature is implemented? And what hooks are gonna burden it? Because I believe ...

Re: Fusion360 has hiked its prices once again. Brace yourselves, CADfugees are coming

... I agree and I think that this kind of things need to be fixed. But the main question is: How can these issues be fixed? And, here we are back at the same point every one of these new user complaint threads reaches. File a bug report...if it is a bug. File a feature request...if it is a feature....

Re: Which issues will start to arrive with the splitting of complexity?

FreeCAD is not any of those software. It is not intended to replace or compete with any of those software. The problem is also that I value simplicity and what I see instead is not simplicity, and I think that I am not alone. Of course anyone can learn FC, but at what cost? How much hours does it t...

Re: Help, copy face from another part

The Part (Std_Part, yellow icon) is not necessary.

Simply create a new Body, select the face and create a Shapebinder or subshapebinder. It will be in the new body. It can be Pad'd or used to import geometry into a new sketch.

Re: Which issues will start to arrive with the splitting of complexity?

I have and make no sense to me. If you do not want to use it, just do not use it. The good thing is, that you are not forced to use it. Christ. The problem is that you started with CATIA. But most of the new guys don't. They start with SW, Creo, Inventor, F360. That is the problem. And each and eve...

Re: Which issues will start to arrive with the splitting of complexity?

It appears you see different as "a mess". No. I don't think so and to be honest I don't think you are getting it. Please look at my reply to @user1234 . No idea what reply your refer to, please provide a link. FreeCAD has similar concepts with different names. You don't see the names/term...

It was an occasion to finally have a look at the tools in the Sketcher toolbar. I think now it would make sense to book an introdu...
