The model has a redundant joint: Fixed004 and Fixed006 are identical. Remove the latter.

Then double-click on Slider002 and change the joint type from Slider to Fixed. Now you can adjust your mechanism by changing the Offset value.

In such a case the Fixed joint acts as an actuator.

I never used a Torus. it is too easy to rotate a circle around an axis, or sweep a circle along a circular spine. But I hardly ever use primitives at all.
I'd be fine if all solid primitives were removed.

Thanks, I noticed the difference now. The link to the index/workbench page doesn't lead to the localised page.
On command pages the link shows the WB name that is usually not translated and so shows no difference.
