Re: FreeCAD 0.20 is released
Hello @Adrianinsaval, yes, I have a multimonitor setup, but I don't konw if that was the problem. I checked the weekly build on a different pc and there weren't problems with FC_020. After Chrisb's advice, I updated the drivers of the graphic card, re-installed FC and reboot the system. Now FC start...

Re: FreeCAD 0.20 is released
Thanks Chrisb for your reply, I have the Nvidia Card, but it is disabled on my system, I use the graphic card of the motherboard. I will try on another PC the weekly build for 0.20. It is strange because I never had problems with FC and the graphic card in the past. I tried an old version of the wee...

Re: FreeCAD 0.20 is released
Hello, I downloaded FC_0.20 in Windows 10 x64 after the announcement and there were not problems with the installation and the software started without problems. In these days I need to use FC but there is a problem when I launch the freecad.exe. The programme starts, but the window disappears after...

Re: Part container+datum object as base of an arch object
Correct. In that case, you create a new simple copy and change the base of the Arch Structure to this new object. It is obviously a bit more work, but it is still parametric because you don't lose the original object and its history. Sometimes you need to work around the current limitations, but yo...

Re: Part container+datum object as base of an arch object
I can't reproduce the bug in Steel_Column_Part_Container+LCS_Assembly.FCStd. The holes are displayed correctly: Strange, may I ask if you use a more recent version of FreeCad? The steps to reproduce the bug from a generic file are these: 1) Create a body with an hole 2) Create a part container ad d...

Re: Part container+datum object as base of an arch object
So, for your case, I would take the assembly, I would create a simple copy (Part_SimpleCopy) from it, and I would use that as the base for an Arch Structure. I can create a copy using the Part_SimpleCopy of the Part_container+Datum object, but I lose the links between the parts created using datum ...

Re: Part container+datum object as base of an arch object
Here attached the screenshot with notes for the two examples. In the second screenshot the 3D view is zoomed on the base plate of the arch "structure" object. The request for help to @Zolko is reported here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=34806&start=680 Thanks C...

Part container+datum object as base of an arch object
Hello, I tried to create an assembly with a part container with two bodies inside it. Then I created an arch object based on the assembly without problems. I created the same assembly with Assembly4 workbench and I found these problems: 1) the holes became squares after the transformation in the arc...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
Thanks Zolko for explanation, this is a bug an Arch/BIM: when you delete the LCS_Origin in the Model, the calculation is correct (you have to recompute the objects). You can recreate the same bug when creating a datum object inside Part_Container_Assembly. How can I add a datum object without Assemb...
