Re: How to 3D Pocket a rounded groove?
How do I turn off auto recompute? Ah, just found it. You set it for the whole document. Would have been nice to set it per operation. For a single operation you can use "Toggle the Active State of the Operation" to make the operation inactive. Then make your changes, then make the operati...

Re: How to mill this wooden bowl???
A cool hack that works a lot of times is to use 3D Pocket Op, Offset Pattern, Use Start Point-on, Min Travel-on and set manually ridiculously high values to Pocket Last Step Over and Step Over. Thank you for posting this! This approach enabled me to create a toolpath after both Waterline and 3D Sur...

Re: size request.
Some of the postprocessors support the argument "--modal". It reduces the size of the GCode by suppressing values when they are the same as the previous line. Perhaps that will work with the postprocessor you're using.

Re: Vcarve not deep enough
Ah, now I see what happens, thanks! Problem is that this behaviour is absolutely not what I want. I want a constant depth, defined by the depth of the pocket. And with a slope in the form of the tool used. That the (top of the) sides widen, so be it, no problem. So the algorithm should - in my case...

Re: Radius Fret Board
As ninao said, it may need to be enabled.
Switch to the Path Workbench, then Edit menu -> Preferences -> Path -> Advanced -> make sure "Enable OCL dependent features" is checked.

Re: 3-d surface.
This is just a guess, but since other people are able to create the 3D Surface operation... When FreeCAD just suddenly stops running, without any messages, in my experience that often means it was killed for using too much memory. I suggest checking the file /var/log/syslog for any lines that contai...

I use Path 3D Surface to radius a fretboard. Step over = 15%.

Re: Newbie question - Can FreeCad do lathe toolpaths?
Hmm, all I can tell from that error is that you didn't run the command in the correct directory. It must be run in a directory which contains a hidden directory named '.git'. Probably the directory inside the MOD folder, which was created when you unzipped the .zip file. Try posting your question to...

Re: Helix Extra Offset error in v0.21
I created a PR for this: Path: helix toolpath was not allowing Extra Offset values that it should
And added a comment to issue [Problem] Path: Helix operation positive Extra Offset error
Now I'm waiting for feedback from @sliptonic.

There is an add-on called Liblathe for that. See the thread viewtopic.php?t=30563
