Thanks (Again!). I''l try those preference setting sand see if that helps. From looking at the Tech draw sub-forum, it appears radius has been a past problem as well.

Re: Where is the current "Help File"?

Is there a reason not to use the freecad package available through our Stable PPA repository? [...] The AppImage is really for other distros than Ubuntu and derivatives. Install on Unix To be honest- I don't recall from exactly which page I downloaded that. I had previously installed using PPAs, bu...

Re: Where is the current "Help File"?

Does anyone running Linux know the full path for where to put the help files? FreeCad is looking for (/tmp/.mount_FreeCAijx6r1/usr/lib/freecad/ ././ /share/doc/freecad-doc/freecad.qhc). I can't seem to figure out what the "./." should be for the file path in order to drop them in. Apparent...

Re: Where is the current "Help File"?

It's there; you want the .7z file with "doc" in the name: specifically this one: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/download/0.18_pre/FreeCAD_doc_0.18.7z Thanks! As a lay person, I was looking for freecad.qhc" or "freecad.qch" as referenced in the wiki page...maybe...

Where is the current "Help File"?

I need help finding the Help file. Apparently it's maintained separately, although it seems like it should be included (?) in the install packages for Windows and Linux. You also can't search for Help File on the Wiki, because it's too generic! After much digging, I found this: https://www.fre...

Re: Drawing Dimensions Calibration Issue

Thanks! I discovered it was already included in the current release version. Unfortunately I can't find any instructions on how to use it....and my trial and error isn't working.

Drawing Dimensions Not Visible- Tech Draw

I managed to create views in the Draft workbench and added the Drawing Dimensioning utility and can get it to do linear dimensions just fine. Radius dimensions are kicking my butt. No matter what I do I can't figure out how to get it to align to the correct stop point. I zoomed in and it appears to ...

Re: Newbie Headaches: Bodies, Parts and Shapes (Oh My!) incohesive design

It's a good idea to keep the dependency graph open, it will update automatically after each change in the tree and you can go back to it to see your progress.[...] Hope this makes sense, let me know if you need clarifications. Just using the dependency graph saved a ton of headaches! I re-looked an...

Re: Newbie Headaches: Bodies, Parts and Shapes (Oh My!) incohesive design

Hey, no need to restart from scratch! Your 02Cone Shape.FCStd file is totally salvageable. Let me know if you need some pointers. Ya think? Seriously- if it's not too much trouble, can you give me a general 1,2,3 sequence for how to tweak the document? I learn by doing and I'm usually good at...
