I am trying to do a simple step that causes an error in FCAD v 0.19.24267 but no error when I try in Fcad v 0.18 . FCad v0.19 file attached. You might also want to try Openscad. It allows 2d shapes to be drawn programmatically and then has a dxf export. Most photomask manufacturers will be very sensitive to how the dxf lines are formed to create enclosed polygons. Problems may arise if you have a donut like shape.

These tutorials are not mine, but they are really good way of jump starting a newbie into creating python based macros in freecad.
