Good morning everyone, I'm still surprised by people not understanding how the world works at times. I'm an aircraft structures mechanic in the US and was given an engineered repair by a European manufacturer. It's a pretty good size machined doubler that exceeds our in house manufacturing ability. ...

Glass overlay gone after update. [SOLVED]

Hey all, Just fired up FreeCAD Daily to work on a couple models and found that the tree overlay is missing from from my workspace. I ran updates through my machine yesterday but hadn't used FreeCAD for maybe 3 days prior. Anyone had issues with this as well? I did a quick search but nothing stood o...

Re: OpenCascade Fillet Fiasco

I have seen at times, that when creating the base shapes of my parts, including the fillet in the base revolve or in the sketch used to cut a slot makes the creation of dress up fillets at the end easier. Even when I was using Catia V5R19 I found that sometimes you had to pick the edges in the right...

Re: 0.19 version with clipping display

I use Glass and have noticed the same action on the useable area of the screen and figured it out early on in my use but didn't look for a fix because me screen is wide enough that it wasn't an issue. On my laptop this would drive me batty in a short amount of time. I wonder if the width of this spa...

Re: Documenting, assembling and building out of order.

Down to 5 full time people now, I had a crew of 16 at one time during the high point of the Me262 project. Also note that I gave up the lead mechanic position due to family health issues and have moved away from Everett, Washington. After the last few weeks I'm even more glad to be away from Seattle...

+1

I'd like this ability as well. I don't need to step or dxf info that I have brought in on the recent list.

Documenting, assembling and building out of order.

As a few thoughts have been brought on by questions in the forum and outside I thought I would describe the way we have had to do things a few times and see if anyone can relate. Over the years we have had jobs to complete that have come with little in the way of drawings or even history and this is...
