Re: LineGroup.csv is not readable

'/Applications/FreeCAD .20.app/Contents/Resources/share/' What does that tell us? The code looks for a default location at getResourceDir()/Mod/TechDraw//LineGroup/LineGroup.csv. If it is looking in '/Applications/FreeCAD .20.app/Contents/Resources/share/' instead of "/Applications/FreeCAD.app...

It would open up the possibility, yes. Maybe a context menu with entries for font, bold, colour, etc.

Re: [Feature Request] Creation of the Template as FreeCAD object

We currently look through the template Svg to find the editable texts and insert the green edit handles into the page. It would be possible to insert an editable widget instead and remove the Svg text/tspan elements at printing time. This should give real text when printing (?).

Re: [Bug] Updating FreeCAD: linegroup file not found

bensay wrote: Sat Aug 06, 2022 8:46 pm the linegroup file was not found as it was still referring to the folder where 0.19 was installed. I would consider this a bug.
Your line group preference is pointing to a folder that doesn't exist any more? It will use a default based on ResourceDir if the preference isn't found.

RussG wrote: Sat Aug 06, 2022 6:55 pm Is there something I should do about these errors?
There was a fix for this just before v0.20 was released - git commit 2b0dd54fe7 / revision 29014. Maybe it doesn't work on mac?

What do you get if you type "App.getResourceDir()" in the python console?

I think FC_MSG writes to the report view. You probably want FC_LOG to write to the log. If that doesn't do it, try something like this:

Code: Select all

Base::Console().Log("myObject: %s  myLabel: %s\n", getNameInDocument(), Label.getValue());

Re: pcurve and other FreeCAD concepts.

what are pcurves? My fault also here, but a quick search in OCCT documentation gave no proper results, meybe "projected cruves" 2d parametric curves on the surface underlying the face. Some OCC algos require these. see: https://opencascade.blogspot.com/2009/02/topology-and-geometry-in-ope...

Re: Multithread Testing

The closest to a crash I can get is to invalidate Dimension references by pressing buttons in TaskProjectGroup as fast as I can. Maybe my finger are just not fast enough. In any case, I have added some protections to prevent the crash in extractFaces. Let me know if you manage to crash the new versi...

These drawings are lovely. Well done. And thanks for testing!

FWIW, Feature Control Frames are on the TechDraw_Roadmap. No ETA.
