Re: Help with git for testing Addon Manager
@chennes is there an upstream ticket (https://github.com/gitpython-developers/GitPython) for this bug?

Re: Multithread Testing
@user1234 my subtle point was hinting that we should provide a more robust solution for experimental cross-platform builds of PRs such as this. The barrier for entry for testers is self-compiling these branches. In the future, it would be most ideal if we could provide Snap, AppImage, Flatpak, macOS...

Re: Fusion360 has hiked its prices once again. Brace yourselves, CADfugees are coming
Moderators, let's start discouraging this kind of unfocused call for action. If someone calls for "better UI", says we should be more like XYZ application, or makes other un-actionable rants, direct them to create an issue. Force them to put some thought and effort into what they're askin...

Modeling Challenge - Trasmission between 3 shafts
Any modelers want to take a stab at this beast? https://i.imgur.com/DRJo4SJ.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/nPLKZMh.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/w0FJWOT.mp4 ref: https://grabcad.com/library/transmission-between-three-shafts-transmission-entre-trois-axes-1 (note the STEP files exist on grabcad, but the challenge ...

Re: Turning Zolko's theme in to a Preference Pack
Feel free to submit a PR that updates the template files 8-) https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/tree/master/src/Gui/PreferencePackTemplates Yikes, I meant no disrespect for your efforts and work  I'm trying to reconcile between Zolko's config files in https://forum.freecadweb.org/download/fil...

Re: Turning Zolko's theme in to a Preference Pack
Here's the git repo I created https://github.com/luzpaz/ZolkoPreferencePack
The .cfg file isn't ready. The Preference pack saved .cfg apparently isn't sophisticated enough to copy over many of the important user.cfg parameters. So I'm eyeballing them and moving the ones that seem relevant.

Re: Topological Naming, My Take
JFYI, I checked in with realthunder on where he's at with the patches. He said in general that it's been a tedious process - reorganizing his previous patches (i guess navigating git conflicts and cosmetic changes etc..) and dealing with the subsequent boredom of it. The amazing news is that the per...

Re: Multithread Testing
Unfortunately, pushing to master it the least ideal but most optimal way to get testers
Eventually we'll have a service where we can build cross-platform experimental builds per PR (not just Linux Snap for the time being)
